Walk Info [031] Along White Edge before going to Hay Wood for a "Zimmy Special" coffee stop.
We head south on the banks of the Derwent to Calver and on to Baslow, where we take a less-usual route to Baslow Edge to finish.

[031z] The walk starts the same way as the longer one and shares the special coffee stop. It arrives at a pleasant pub in Calver and finishes with a formidable 300m climb. If you can persuade your car driver to collect you at the pub then the route is 10.5km and 80m of ascent.

Start In car park near crest of the hill.

Travel A619 from Chesterfield to Baslow. Then A623 to Calver. On entering the village turn R into the road set back from the main one. Take the right hand road of the pair and follow it steeply uphill for less than a mile. Car park on left.

Extra Info The car park is pay and display, but there are free parking places down the hill to the W.
 
The coffee stop is rather charming.
Toilets at start? No.   Suggest calling at Baslow en route.
